PENERAPAN PROGRAM BERJALAN KAKI DAN BERSEPEDA KE SEKOLAH PADA ANAK USIA SEKOLAH DI KOTA DEPOK

Aktifitas fisik yang tidak memadai pada anak usia sekolah dapat menimbulkan masalah tumbuh kembang di masa depan. Rendahnya aktivitas fisik diikuti dengan tingginya kasus obesitas yang dapat meningkatkan risiko masalah kesehatan. Program berjalan kaki dan bersepeda ke sekolah dirancang sebagai alternatif program penanggulangan masalah rendahnya aktivitas pada anak. Penelitian dilakukan secara quasi eksperimen selama 3 bulan terhadap 100 siswa sekolah dasar di kota Depok. Hasil implementasi menunjukan program ini memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap perubahan IMT siswa (P value=0,004) dan peningkatan kebiasaan dari 1x/minggu di minggu pertama observasi, dan meningkat sampai 4x/ minggu dengan kemaknaan perubahan signifikan (P value=0.000). Program ini dapat diterapkan menjadi program kebugaran sekolah bagi siswa yang bertempat tinggal radius ± 3 Km dari sekolah. Bersepeda memberikan pengaruh yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan berjalan kaki dalam penurunan IMT pada anak. Kebiasaan berjalan kaki dan bersepeda ke sekolah terbukti dapat meningkatkan aktivitas fisik pada siswa dan memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap penurunan IMT siswa dengan obesitas.
