KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIS SISWA ALIYAH MELALUI STRATEGI HEURISTIK

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas strategi heuristik terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Bentuk penelitian adalah eksperimental semu dengan rancangan randomized control-group pretest-postest design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XII IPA Madrasah Aliyah di Kota Pontianak. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah dokumentasi dan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika dengan terlebih dahulu dilakukan prosedur analisis butir yang sesuai. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji U-Mann Whitney test secara umum pembelajaran strategi heuristik dalam pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran matematika dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika adalah efektif, hal tersebut ditunjukkan berdasarkan simpulan sub masalah yang menggambarkan keadaan sebagai berikut. (1) Siswa yang diajarkan dengan pendekatan pembelajaran strategi heuristik memiliki kemampuan pemecahan
masalah matematika yang lebih baik dari pada pembelajaran konvensional. (2) Respon siswa mengharapkan adanya regulasi dalam pembelajaran matematika melalui strategi heuristik sebagai alternatif peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika.
