Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The manuscript is formatted according to the guidelines provided by SAINTEK and is submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
  • The manuscript is original and does not contain plagiarism.
  • The manuscript has not been previously published and is not under consideration by another journal.
  • All references are formatted according to SAINTEK requirements.
  • Author information, including affiliations and email addresses, is complete.
  • The manuscript has been checked for language and grammatical errors.
  • The authors agree to the Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license.

Author Guidelines

  1. General Requirements

The minimum standard requirements for Jurnal Pendidikan Informatika dan Sains (SAINTEK) are as follows:

  1. The manuscript must be written in either Bahasa Indonesia or English.
  2. Ensure that your paper is formatted using the SAINTEK Manuscript Template.
  1. Structure of the Manuscript

The manuscript should be structured according to the following format:

  1. Title: The title should clearly describe the research aims, method/model, and objectives, without using acronyms or abbreviations.
  2. Author's Names and Affiliations:
    • List author names without academic degrees, below the title of the paper.
    • Author affiliations should be listed under the corresponding names.
    • Include the email addresses of all authors to facilitate communication.
    • The author's name, affiliation, and email should be written in 12-point Times New Roman font, single-spaced, and centered.
  3. Abstract:
    • The abstract should be a maximum of 250 words.
    • It should not include citations.
    • The abstract must state the primary objective, research design, methodology, main outcomes, and conclusions.
  4. Keywords:
    • Provide 3 to 5 keywords or phrases that reflect the content of the article.
    • Keywords should be listed below the abstract in 11-point Times New Roman font.
  5. Introduction:
    • The introduction should explain the state of the art in the research area, identify the research gap, and state the research objectives/questions.
    • It should include the research background, relevant previous studies, references, and theories related to the research.
    • The gap analysis should highlight the need for the research and its novelty.
    • Write this section in 12-point Times New Roman font, single-spaced.
  6. Method:
    • This section should describe how the research was conducted, including the study type, research subjects or population, sample size, data collection techniques, and data analysis methods.
    • If tools and materials were used, include their specifications to describe their sophistication and relevance.
    • Write this section in 12-point Times New Roman font, single-spaced.
  7. Results and Discussion:
    • This is the core section of the manuscript and typically the longest. It should explain how the research objectives were achieved, interpret the findings, and discuss how the results integrate with existing knowledge or contribute to new theories.
    • Present only the results of the analysis and hypothesis testing, without detailing the calculation processes.
    • Use tables and figures to clarify your findings, ensuring they are commented on and discussed in the text.
    • Write this section in 12-point Times New Roman font, single-spaced.
  8. Conclusion:
    • The conclusion should summarize the results and discussion, clearly addressing the research objectives.
    • Ensure that the conclusions align with the findings presented in the body of the text.
    • Write this section in 12-point Times New Roman font, single-spaced.
  9. References:
    • Include only the references cited in the manuscript.
    • Follow the APA (American Psychological Association) style for citations and references.
    • At least 60% of the references should be from primary sources (national or international journals) published within the last 10 years.
    • The reference list should be arranged alphabetically and chronologically.
    • Use reference management software such as EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero, etc.
    • Ensure that the similarity index of the manuscript does not exceed 20%.
