Abstract

Banyak mahasiswa mengalami kesulitan dalam mengerjakan soal mengenai materi logika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal materi logika sehingga dapat dicari tindakan yang tepat untuk memperbaiki kesalahan tersebut dan tidak terulang kembali. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Subyek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester 2 teknik informatika. Mahasiswa diberi tes uraian yang berkaitan dengan materi logika. Jawaban mahasiswa dianalisis menggunakan metode Newman. Dari hasil analisis dapat diketahui bahwa semua jenis kesalahan dilakukan oleh mahasiswa diantaranya kesalahan dalam (1) reading, (2) comprehension, (3) transformation, (4) process skill, dan (5) encoding dengan banyak kesalahan yang berbeda.
