STUDI KORELASI ANTARA MOTIVASI BELAJAR DENGAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS PADA MAHASISWA BARU IKIP PGRI PONTIANAK TAHUN AKADEMIK 2015/2016

Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan korelasi antara motivasi belajar dan kemampuan menulis mahasiswa baru IKIP-PGRI Pontianak tahun akademik 2015/2016, dan seberapa erat korelasi antara motivasi belajar dan kemampuan menulis mahasiswa baru IKIP PGRI Pontianak tahun akademik 2015/2016. Untuk memperoleh data, metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan bentuk studi korelasi. Sampel diambil dengan cluster random sampling, yang terdiri dari 30 mahasiswa Program Studi Bahasa Inggris semester 1 kelas A Pagi. Sedangkan, teknik untuk mengumpulkan data menggunakan pengukuran dengan instrumen berupa tes tulis dan kuesioner. Data dianalisa dengan menggunakan correlational product moment. Dari hasil pengujian hipotesis dengan menggunakan product moment, diketahui bahwa rhitung 0.941, dan kemudian dikonsultasikan dengan r tabel sebesar 0,361 dengan taraf signifkansi 0,005, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis yang menyatakan ada korelasi antara motivasi belajar dengan kemampuan menulis pada mahasiswa baru IKIP PGRI Pontianak tahun akedemik 2015/2016Â (Ha) diterima dengan tingkat korelasi yang kuat.
