Abstrak
Kemampuan berpikir kreatif adalah salah satu kemampuan yang perlu dimiliki oleh siswa pada tahap perkembangan pengetahuannya. Hal tersebut karena kemampuan berpikir kreatif merupakan kemampuan dasar bagi siswa untuk dapat bersaing dalam menghadapi tantangan hidup yang tidak lepas dari perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan, terutama penguasaan terhadap semua mata pelajaran di sekolah. Penelitan dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa SMP se-Kota Pontianak yang terbagi menjadi sekolah kategori tinggi, sekolah kategori sedang, dan sekolah kategori rendah. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitiannya adalah penelitian survei. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik stratified cluster random sampling. Dari 23 sekolah diambil secara acak masing-masing sekolah kategori tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Pengkategorian sekolah berdasarkan nilai Ujian Nasional siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis penelitian diperoleh rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa SMP se-Kota Pontianak sebesar 44,4% dengan kategori cukup, sedangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada sekolah kategori tinggi, sedang, dan rendah masing-masing sebesar 46,05%, 45,15%, dan 42% yang berarti tergolong cukup.

Abstract
Creative thinking skills are one of the abilities students need to have at the stage their learning. This is because creative thinking is a fundamental ability for students to compete in the development of science. Therefore, this research aimed to reveal the ability of creative thinking of junior high school students in Pontianak, which was divided into three categories, namely schools with high, medium and low categories. This research is descriptive research with research form is survey research. The sample of this research was 23 schools taken by using stratified cluster random sampling represent schools with high, medium and low categories. Categorization of schools based on students National Exam scores. Based on the result of the research analysis, it was found that overall mean score of creative thinking ability of junior high school students in Pontianak was 44.4% which was categorized as moderate. In addition, the mean score of students’ creative thinking skills at schools with high, medium and low categories were 46.05%, 45.15%, and 42% which was categorized as moderate.
