PENINGKATAN KUALITAS PEMBELAJARAN DAN KEMAMPUAN MENGAPRESIASI DONGENG DENGAN MENERAPKAN METODE COOPERATIVE INTEGRATED READING AND COMPOSITION (C I R C )

Tujuan penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran apresiasi dongeng dan meningkatkan kemampuan apresiasi dongeng melalui penerapan metodeCooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Reseach), yaitu suatu penelitian yang merupakan bentuk kerjasama atau kolaborasi antara peneliti, guru dan siswa. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan tiga siklus, dan setiap siklus dua kali pertemuan.Setiap siklus meliputi empat tahapan: perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa dan guru kelas VII-C SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak.Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik observasi, wawancara, tes dan angket.Uji validitas data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan riangulasi teknik, yaitu mengecek data yang telah diperoleh melalui sumber yang sama dengan teknik yang berbeda yakni dicek dengan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisa data menggunakan teknik analisis deskripsi komparatif dan deskripsi kritis.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) dalam penelitian tindakan kelas dapat meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran apresiasi dongeng siswakelas VII-C SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak. Kemampuan siswa dalam mengapresiasi dongeng meningkat. Hasil ini dapat dilihat pada siklus I siswa yang memperoleh nilai di atas KKM meningkat.
