Abstract

Mahasiswa mengalami kesulitan dalam mempelajari fonetik karena penggunaan media ajar di kelas yang minim. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat pengembangan bahan ajar web funetic.id. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D) mengadaptasi model 4D. Dalam penelitian ini hanya digunakan 3 tahap, yaitu tahap pendefinisian, tahap perancangan, dan tahap pengembangan. Hasil penelitian pada tahap pertama, yaitu kesulitan mempelajari fonetik disebabkan oleh perbedaan sistem bunyi bahasa Inggris dan bahasa Indonesia sehingga menyebabkan mahasiswa mengalami kesulitan dalam mengingat cara dan tempat menghasilkan bunyi. Hasil penelitian tahap kedua yaitu perancangan media ajar fonetik menggunakan website funetic.id. Hasil penelitian pada tahap ketiga yaitu media ajar funetic.id layak untuk dilakukan uji coba kepada mahasiswa.
