PREFERENSI MAHASISWA TERHADAP KOREKSI TERTULIS DOSEN DALAM MENINGKATKAN KETELITIAN MENULIS

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk (me)investigasi tentang(hilangkan): (1) bagaimana persepsi mahasiswa terhadap KT dari dosen, (2) tipe KT yang mana yang mereka inginkan (sukai), (3) kesalahan-kesalahan menulis apa saja yang perlu di koreksi, dan (4) kapan sebaiknya KT dari dosen diberikan kepada mahasiswa. Penelitian dekriptif dengan menggunakan metode survei, dengan populasi 152 mahasiswa semester tiga IKIP-PGRI Pontianak. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan dianalisis menggunakan Microsoft Excel 2007. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat diketahui bahwa pertama, semua mahasiswa mengatakan koreksi tertulis penting dilakukan oleh dosen dalam upaya meningkatkan kemampuan mereka dalam menulis. Kedua, mereka menyukai berbagai tipe KT, yang meliputi direct correction (Ya= 100%; Tidak= 0%), indirect correction (Ya= 19,1%; Tidak= 80,9%), metalinguistics pada error codes (Ya= 32,9%; Tidak= 67.1%), metalinguistics pada explanation (Ya= 65,8%; Tidak= 34,2%), dan reformulation (Ya= 57,9%; Tidak= 42,1%). Ketiga, kesalahan dalam menulis yang perlu koreksi adalah semua mahasiswa menjawab semua aspek dalam menulis perlu dikoreksi, yaitu content (Ya=98,7%; Tidak 1,3%), organization (Ya= 78,9%; Tidak=21,1%),  Vocabulary (Ya= 97,4%; Tidak= 2,6%), grammatical structure (Ya= 100%; Tidak= 0%), dan  mechanics (Ya= 93,4%; Tidak= 6,6%). Keempat, sebagian besar mahasiswa menginginkan karya tulis mereka dikoreksi pada saat menyerahkan draft akhir (86,8%) dan pada draft awal 13,2%.
