Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mendeskripsikan nilai budaya, moral, dan religi yang terdapat dalam kumpulan pantun Melayu Sambas. Metode penelitian yang  digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Hasil penelitian menyimpulakan bahwa: (1) nilai budaya dalam pantun Melayu Sambas adalah nilai yang mengandung adat atau kebiasaan orang-orang Melayu. Dalam pantun-pantun tersebut terdapat tanda-tanda kebahasaan yaitu simbol dan pantun tersebut mengandung nilai budaya; (2) nilai pendidikan moral yang terkandung dalam pantun Melayu Sambas memberikan ajaran mengenai perilaku yang positif dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Dalam pantun-pantun tersebut terdapat tanda-tanda kebahasaan yaitu simbol dan pantun tersebut mengandung nilai pendidikan; dan (3) nilai religius yang terkandung dalam kumpulan pantun Sambas berupa nilai-nilai yang berhubungan dengan Tuhan. Nilai-nilai tersebut diantaranya berupa nilai kepatuhan terhadap orang tua, tindakan poligami, dan menuntut ilmu dunia dan akhirat agar manusia mendapat rahmatNya sebagai bekal menjalani hidup di dunia maupun akhirat.

Kata Kunci: nilai budaya, nilai moral, nilai religi, pantun Melayu Sambas.
