Implementasi Pendidikan Karakter melalui Pembelajaran Sastra di Sekolah Menengah Atas
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi implementasi pendidikan karakter melalui pembelajaran sastra di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Pendidikan karakter memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk kepribadian siswa yang berintegritas, bertanggung jawab, dan berempati. Sastra, sebagai media pembelajaran yang kaya akan nilai-nilai moral dan kemanusiaan, menawarkan pendekatan yang efektif untuk mengintegrasikan pendidikan karakter dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus di beberapa SMA. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dengan guru bahasa Indonesia, dan analisis dokumen terkait kurikulum dan bahan ajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran sastra, melalui pembacaan, diskusi, dan analisis karya sastra, mampu mendorong siswa untuk memahami dan menginternalisasi nilai-nilai karakter seperti toleransi, kerja keras, kejujuran, dan tanggung jawab. Namun, implementasi ini masih menghadapi tantangan, seperti keterbatasan waktu pembelajaran dan kurangnya pelatihan guru dalam mengintegrasikan pendidikan karakter. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan strategi pembelajaran sastra yang lebih terstruktur dan pelatihan intensif bagi guru untuk mengoptimalkan peran sastra dalam pendidikan karakter
