PENGARUH KETERAMPILAN BERBICARA MENGGUNAKAN METODE DEBAT DALAM MATA KULIAH BERBICARA DIALEKTIK PADA MAHASISWA IKIP PGRI PONTIANAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) mendeskripsikan keterampilan berbicara mahasiswa sebelum menerapkan metode berbicara dialektik (2) mendeskripsikan keterampilan berbicara mahasiswa sesudah menerapkan metode debat dalam matakuliah berbicara dialektik (3) mendeskripsikan pengaruh penerapan metode debat terhadap keterampilan berbicara mahasiswa program studi pendidikan bahasa dan sastra Indonesia IKIP PGRI Pontianak IKIP PGRI Pontianak dalam mata kuliah berbicara dialektik. Adapun teknik dan alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes keterampilan berbicara, dan observasi langsung. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan teknik statistik deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan hal-hal berikut.(1) Hasil pretes rata-rata keterampilan berbicara mahasiswa dikategorikan sedang atau cukup dengan perolehan skor rata-rata 60,25 (2) Hasil posttest rata-rata keterampilan berbicara mahasiswa dikategorikan baik dengan perolehan skor rata-rata 71,08. Artinya terdapat perbedaan antara hasil keterampilan berbicara mahasiswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan metode debat, sehingga dapat disimpulkan pula bahwaâ€ada pengaruh penggunan metode debat dalam mata kuliah berbicara dialektik pada mahasiswa IKIP PGRI Pontianak
