EFEKTIVITAS DIRECT CORRECTION DALAM MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS MAHASISWA IKIP PGRI PONTIANAK

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan efektifitas penggunaan teknik direct correction dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis mahasiswa semester dua IKIP PGRI Pontianak tahun akademik 2015. Untuk memperoleh data, metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan bentuk kuasi-eksperimen. Sampel diambil dengan cluster random sampling, yang terdiri dari dua kelompok, eksperimen dan kontrol. Sedangkan, teknik untuk mengumpulkan data menggunakan pengukuran dengan instrumen berupa tes tulis. Data dianalisa dengan menggunakan uji-t. Dari hasil pengujian hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji-t, diketahui bahwa t hitung 6,276, dan kemudian dikonsultasikan dengan t tabel sebesar 2, 021dengan taraf signifkansi 0,005, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis yang menyatakan yang mengatakan direct correction efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis mahasiswa (Ha) diterima. Dengan diterimanya Ha, maka dapat dikatakan bahwa penggunaan direct correction efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis mahasiswa.
