EFEKTIVITAS PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM SOLVING TERHADAP PENINGKATAN PRESTASI BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATERI INSTALASI SOFTWARE DI SMK

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui: (1) efektivitas penggunaan pembelajaran problem solving di SMK Al-Madani, dan (2) peningkatan prestasi dalam menerapkan pembelajaran klasikal dan pembelajaraan problem solving.Penelitian ini mengunakan jenis penelitian quasi experiment. Desain dalam penelitian ini menggunakan prestes-posttest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 122 yaitu dua kelas dari Jurusan Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan di SMK Al-Madani dan SMKN 7 Pontianak. Kelompok eksperimen diberikan treatment pembelajaran problem solving, sedangkan kelompok kontrol diberikan pembelajaran sesuai dengan proses belajar mengajar di sekolah, khususnya pada materi instalasi software. Analisis menunjukkan pembelajaran problem solving memiliki peningkatan terhadap prestasi pada kelompok eksperimen.Berdasarkangain skor prestasi pada kelompok ekperimen diperoleh sebesar 8,3 dengan standar deviasi 10,8. Sedangkan gain skor prestasi pada kelompok kontrol diperoleh sebesar 6,7 dengan standar deviasi 8,8. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan prestasi antara kelompok ekperimen dan kelompok kontrol.
