DESKRIPSI PENGUASAAN KONSEP VEKTOR DAN JENIS KESALAHANNYA DITINJAU DARI TINGKAT PENCAPAIAN KOGNITIF PADA MAHASISWA PENDIDIKAN FISIKA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pencapaian kognitif mahasiswa pendidikan fisika semester IV dalam menyelesaikan soal vektor. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan metode survey. Populasinya seluruh mahasiswa pendidikan fisika semester IV tahun akademik 2013/2014 dan sampel yang digunakan adalah mahasiswa pendidikan fisika semester IV tahun akademik 2013/2014 kelas A pagi dan A, B sore. Teknik penelitian dengan menggunakan tes tertulis dan instrumen pengumpul data dalam penelitian berupa tes essay. Berdasarkan dari analisis data yang diperoleh untuk tingkat penguasaan kognitif mahasiswa pendidikan fisika dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal vektor pada tingkat pengetahuan sebesar 52,50%, tingkat pemahaman sebesar 78,17%, dan tingkat aplikasi sebesar 83,33%. Tingkat pencapaian kognitif mahasiswa pendidikan fisika pada materi vector perlu peningkatan penguasaan pada ranah kognitif terutama pada tingkat pengetahuan. Hal ini perlu diperhatikan agar hasil belajar mahasiswa akan menjadi lebih baik lagi.
