PERANAN DOSEN DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS MASALAH BERORIENTASI PADAPENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS MAHASISWA

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui profil keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa sebelum menggunakan pembelajaran berbasis masalah pada materi ekosistem, profil keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa setelah menggunakan pembelajaran berbasis masalah pada materi ekosistem, serta pengaruh penerapan pembelajaran berbasis masalah terhadap keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatifdengan subjek penelitian seluruh mahasiswa semester II (dua) Pendidikan Fisika yang mengambil mata kuliah Biologi Umum tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode tes untuk mengukur keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa, dan non tes melalui lembar observasi dan wawancara untuk mengukur peranan dosen dalam pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) nilai rata-rata keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa sebelum pembelajaran didapatkan hasil 59,36, (2) nilai rata-rata keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa setelah pembelajaran didapatkan hasil 67,95, (3) terdapat pengaruh pembelajaran berbasis masalah terhadap peningkatan keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa.
